RADWIN’s mobility solution for Qingdao automated port

The port of Qingdao is the first fully-automated container port in the world, and the biggest one in Asia today.

After one year of operation, the port’s efficiency has increase to handle more than 40 containers per hour, which has broken the world record.

BNC chose to deploy RADWIN base stations (HBS) around the port to communicate with the 38 AGVs. The AGVs are unmanned, fully-automated vehicles controlled remotely from the port’s NOC. RADWIN’s solution provides the wireless communications network between the vehicles and the NOC.
